Ultimate Alpine Route Package

When spring comes, the Alpine Route is literally ‘carved through’ the snow. Many people from all over the world are deeply impressed by the 18 meter high snow wall. If you wish to see the snow walls, it is recommended that you visit in June. Even in late June the walls are still over 10 meters high.

Playing with the Snow in JUN

As there are fewer visitors in June, you can enjoy a more relaxed sightseeing experience. Also, the weather in June is warm and more predictable.

Tateyama Ropeway, Spring

Summer is the best season for sightseeing, climbing and nature walks. There are many hiking courses in Murodo, from which you can see the Tateyama mountain range.

Murodo Summer, Mikurigaike (Pond)

The route going around the Mikurigaike takes around one hour. The view of Tateyama reflected in the lake is unforgettable. In Murodo, the temperatures are 12 to 15 degrees lower than the plains below, plenty of snow often remains into July. You can enjoy walking on, and playing with the snow.

Shinanokinbai (Flower)

Alpine plants and strolling around the highlands, some snow remains.

The leaves take six weeks to change color beginning at the end of September and lasting until the beginning of November.

Tateyama Ropeway, Autumn

Daikanbo, Autumn

In years when snow fall comes early, snow can fall here in late September. This early snowfall usually melts away within 2 or 3 days. From early or mid-November, the snow no longer melts and Murodo is covered with a continuous blanket of snow that will not melt until spring.
