Upon arrival at Nagoya Airport, coach transfers to Magome and visit Scenic Magome Town. Magome is an ancient postal town in the Kiso Valley. The city has been beautifully restored with a wide street, old wooden houses, and picturesque water wheels on both sides. Proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Soba Set]. After lunch, visit Hana Festa Memorial Park (花フェスタ記念公園) “Rose Festival” This is a theme park focused mainly on roses located in Seta, Kani City. The park boasts being one of the world largest rose gardens, and is about 17 times larger than Nagoya Dome, and has roughly 300 million rose bushes in 7,000 varieties. Finally, transfer to Takayama city for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Set] at the hotel restaurant.
After breakfast, proceed to Takayama Morning Market. This market has stands that sell local crafts, snacks and farm produce such as vegetables, pickles and flowers. The next destination is Takayama Old Town. The Takayama old town has been beautifully preserved with many buildings and whole streets of houses dating from the Edo Period. After that, transfer to Shirakawago for lunch [Hoba Miso Set]. After lunch, stroll around on your own at Shirakawago Village (白川郷). Declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1995, they are famous for their traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old. Finally, transfer to Kaga Onsen for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] at the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Kanazawa and visit Omicho Market . The market has been Kanazawa’s largest fresh food market since the Edo Period. While most shops specialize in excellent local seafood and produce, you can also find flowers, clothing, kitchen tools and more on sale. After that, transfer to a local restaurant for lunch [Seafood Sushi Rice Bowl]. Kanazawa is also famous for gold leaf, as more than 90% of Japanese gold leaf is produced there. This afternoon, you will get to experience the Gold Leave Embellishment (35-50min). Thereafter, drive sandy beach by bus Chirihama Driveway. Chirihama beach is the only beach in Japan where you can drive your car on the sand. A popular attraction on a scenic road trip through the Noto Peninsula. Visit Shirayone Senmaida Rice Terrace (白米千枚田), the rice paddy field. Designated as a National Scenic Spot on January 29th,2001, Shiroyone’s Sennmaida has more than 2000 small rice paddies spread almost geometrically in an area of 12,000 km2 and thus creates a beautiful and bright landscape on the background of the blue sea. Finally, transfer to the hotel for check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] at the hotel.
This morning, stroll around at Wajima Morning Market. Daily between 8:00 and 12:00, the pleasant pedestrian street in the city center is lined with vendors selling various goods, including fresh seafood and local products. Next, visit Cape Suzu (Sanctuary Cape), one of Japan’s 3 greatest spots for the purest mineral water that stays fresh a hundred years. This afternoon, lunch [Sashimi Set] will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, visit the Notojima Aquarium (90min). This Aquarium has about 500 species and over 40,000 sea creatures from all over Japan including the ones that inhabit the Noto Peninsula Coast. Thereafter, transfer to Toyama city and have a dinner [Kaisendon Kaiseki] at a local restaurant. Finally, transfer to the hotel for check in.
After breakfast, transfer to Tateyama and start the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route (立山黒部アルペンルート). ** whole route approximately about 8 – 9hrs** Lunch at a local restaurant [White Shrimp Rice Bowl Set]. Thereafter, transfer to Matsumoto for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Buffet] at the hotel.
** This morning, your luggage will be transferred directly to Tokyo hotel from Matsumoto.
After breakfast, visit Matsumoto Castle . This beautiful castle is the only one in touch amongst all of Japan’s original castles. After lunch at a local restaurant, transfer to Nagano Station. Take the Shinkansen ride from Nagano Station to Tokyo Station (~88min). Upon arrival at Tokyo city, coach transfer to the hotel for check in. Tonight, dinner will be at your own expense in Tokyo city.
