Upon arrival at Fukuoka Airport, coach transfer to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine (大宰府天満宮). It enshrines Sugawara Michizane (845-903) as the god of academic achievement. During the entrance examination season each year, students from all over Japan will head to the shrine to pray for success in academic achievement. After that, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Mizutaki Hotpot Set]. After lunch, head to Umino Nakamichi Seaside Park “Nemophila”(海の中道海浜公園) is an extensive leisure park where you can enjoy seasonal flowers. Next, photo stop at Scenic Moji Port “Mojiko Retro”, is an international trade port opened in 1889. Tonight, dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] will be served at a local restaurant. Finally, transfer to hotel for check in.
After breakfast, transfer to Shimonoseki and you will pass by Kanmon Strait Bridge (関門橋), a suspension bridge crossing the Kanmon Straits, a stretch of water separating two of Japan’s four main islands. Visit Karato Market (唐戸市場), one of the most famous fish markets in Japan. The Karato Market deals with the largest haul of pufferfish in Japan; here you can enjoy freshly prepared puffer fish sold at bargain prices. Next, photo stop at Tsunoshima Ohashi Bridge (角島大橋). It connects the westernmost tip of Yamaguchi to the white shores of the picturesque island of Tsunoshima. After that, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Squid Sashimi set]. After lunch, continue your journey to Nagoto city and visit Motonosumi Inari Shrine (元乃隅神社), a unique shrine situated in the city of Nagato. The shrine is famous for its 123 red torii gates that lead up a cliff overlooking the Sea of Japan. Thereafter, transfer back to the hotel for check in and enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] at the hotel.
This morning, you will have a chance to visit the biggest karst plateau in Japan – Akiyoshido Cave (秋芳洞), the largest and longest limestone cave in Japan, with a width of 100 meters and a length of nearly nine kilometres. This afternoon, lunch [Kamameshi Set] will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, stroll around at the Old Tsuwano Town (津和野町), known as the “Little Kyoto of the San-in Region” locates in the western edge of Shimane. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Iwami Beef Set] at the hotel. Finally, transfer to hotel for check in.
After breakfast, visit Yushien Japanese Garden (由志園) “Peony” is a garden where visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers such as cherry blossoms and peonies. After that, head to Izumo Taisha Shrine (出雲大社) is one of the oldest, most important and mysterious shrines in Japan. Lunch [Gilled Beef Set] at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue your journey at Adachi Museum of Art (足立美術館) “The best Garden in Japan”. This garden shows various seasonal faces, and have good balance with the surrounding natural mountains. Thus, Adachi’s gardens are said to be a “living Japanese painting”. Finally, transfer to Kaike Onsen for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Set] at the hotel.
This morning, start your day at Tottori HanaKairo (とっとり花回廊) the largest flower park in Japan. This is the flower park where you can enjoy flowers and greenery all year round. After that, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch [Sushi Set]. After lunch, proceed to Tottori Sand Dunes (鳥取砂丘). The only desert in Japan. The sand dunes were created over 100.000 years ago as deposits of sand from the Chugoku Mountains carried by the Sendaigawa River. After that, visit The Sand Museum (砂の美術館). Located just next to Tottori Sand Dunes, is an incredible themed sculpture, all made of sand. At the end of the day, transfer to Yumura Onsen for hotel check in. Tonight, enjoy your dinner [Japanese Kaiseki] at the hotel.
After breakfast, transfer to Izushi. Stroll around at this Old Samurai Town Izushi. The current townscape is reminiscent of the Edo era (1604) due to efforts to preserve the town’s original architecture. Besides that, there are many local special products such as “Izushi Sara Soba”. Today, you will get to experience to make this famous Soba for your own lunch [Soba and Tempura]. After lunch, transfer to Hana no Jutan (花のじゅうたん) “Shibazakura”, is a specialized garden of the moss phlox at Sanda-shi of Hyogo. Thereafter, visit Kobe Sanda Premium Outlets (神戸三田プレミアム・アウトレッ), where various items, not only Japanese brands but also international luxury brands, can be purchased and cheaper than retail stores. Dinner is on your own expense at the Outlet malls. Finally, transfer to Osaka city for hotel check in.
