ST PAUL’S HILL
This area would be a good reflection of the days when Malacca was colonized by the Portugese, Dutch and British. The churches and other buildings here are mostly decked in red, with western architectural design. |

CHEN HOON TENG TEMPLE
Referred to as the ‘Temple of Evergreen Clouds’, this is one of the oldest Chinese Buddhist temples in Malaysia. Besides its’ long history, the mythological figures, beautiful carvings and nice lacquer work make this place well worth a visit.

PORTA DE SANTIAGO
This is whatever’s left of a significant landmark that was built by the Portuguese during their reign in Malacca. Initially built for defense, this place has a long history that is closely linked with the Dutch and British too.

PLANTATIONS AND PEWTER FACTORY
Besides well-known attractions, you would get to see some rubber, palm oil and coconut plantations during the drive. A pewter factory would also be visited – so you can witness the craft of pewter into exquisite decorative ornaments.
